I am particularly attracted to New Zealand landscapes.
The forms and textures appearing in our natural surroundings actuate my art; I attempt to extract certain elements and render an abstract expression of them.
I view nature’s forms as her sculptures.
This is reinforced by the geometric shapes which I can see in the hills and mountains.
I also like the contrast and synergy which exist in the juxtaposition of sculpture crafted by human kind (eg. high rise city buildings) and Mother Nature’s wonders.
